relocate our ringneck again orleavehim behind?

Hi everyone I haven't posted in about four years but now I'm in serious need of good advice. We first got our IRN five years ago while living in Dubai. Recently we relocated to Malaysia and had no problem bringing our bird with us. Initially we thought we would stay here for a few years but now we h...

hi everyone. I need some advice from all you experts. We would like to get bibou, our female ringneck a friend but we're not sure which type of birdie to get her? She's bonded very very well with hubby and we think if we get another female she will be extremely jealous. On the other hand we dont wan...

Datsun I think with human children it easier. Not because you love them less than your pets but birds especially are so dependant on humans. They are stuck all day in their cage and have to depend on someone to feed them, play with them, clean their cage etc. At least a child can say what he wants a...

Well, everyone Bibou is gone and the house feels so empty. This is the first time she's away from us and it's really very difficult. We cancelled two trips last year because we didn't want to leave her and I'm so tempted to do the same again. They placed her in a huge cage which looks very much like...

Hi everyone. Hubby and I are going away for 6 weeks and will have to board Bibou for the entire time. We went to check out the place today and it's really nice. She will have her own huge cage with toys but they said we had a choice. Either they could place her next to the other birds (i saw a coupl...

Hi Mikaela. Thanx for replying so quickly. Well, I have already told hubby that the next pet we get had better not be female or he's in big trouble. HELP!!!! Jealous bird

Ok I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but I'm at my wits end now. My ringneck has become extremely jealous of me...to the point that she tries to attack me. She has bonded unbelievably with my husband although technically she is my bird. I feed her, clean her cage, play with her, sing ...

Ok so she gets her breakfast in the morning then she cries for my toast when i'm having my breakfast. Throughout the day she gets fruit and nuts and then her dinner before bedtime. However, even when she's sleeping and she hears the sound of a packet she will run from her bed to her perch and wait f...

wing-clipping, what a difference

So we finally found a vet who was able to clip bibou's wings properly. And what a difference it has made. She has become such a sweetie again.
