i wasn't to hopeful either after i seen how bad his bird was but i tried to help him as much as i could as he loved the bird allot, he wasn't sure what to do as it was his first bird.

cant stop nibbling
Hi my irn loves to nibble on my hand or arm when im holding him. The nibble may turn in to a hard bite. I give him treats to distract him but he starts nibbling when he's finished it or may throw it away. Any tips on how to stop this

not to sure how to stop it as im new to these bird but they should grow back when the first molt comes at 6 months. my irn lost all his tail feathers from my other bird pulling them off when i first introduced them when i got the irn, his tail is know back and looks beautiful.

the irn unfortunately did not make it. we did want to take it to a vet but by the time we found 1 which was still open it was to late.

hi my freind has a lacewing ringneck who today has just not been eating and is know in a bad state and is not moving. he/she flaps the wing every know and then but thats all. the irn is about 6 months old. is a very playfull and tame bird any help appreciated

they are great birds. i have an alex and a irn and both are very friendly. we have a 2 yr old running around who they love as he always feeds them seeds, as soon as they see him they try and get as close as they can in or out the cage. only thing with the alex is he loves to chew everything. 1 of my...

thanks for your responses i do spend time talkin to them n keep sayin the same words for a few minutes, but i find the irn to be a bit quite only here him in the mornings and when he has his afternoon nap, or when the two birds want the same thing, is that normal as the alexandrine screams allot.

any help would be great as all my other birds were kept in the cage and don't want the same for these 2. want to be able to leave them open for most the day but don't know how to train them not to fly everywhere and chew everything
