yes, i am no way upset with threio, i am upset with myself. if I would of pretended to go somewhere everyday for the 1st 6 months this probably wouldn't be an issue now. I was thinking the same thing. do you think a regular parakeet would be sufficient to keep threio company? and how close would the...

That's exactly what it is. He only does it when in the cage or when Threio is too lazy to fly into the bathroom before I shut the door. I call for him to come in take a shower with me he ignores me, then as soon as I get in the shower, panic sets in and he raises the roof. I live in a loft so the ec...

thanks for the advice Oddly enough, I can't whistle worth a nickel. I will need to come up with a noise. LOL Since Threio's wings have grown back he has been much more boisterous and destructive. The constant begging for food has become irritating also. (He always has plenty of food and snacks in hi...

I have had Threio for almost a year now. The green fire ball turns 1 on 3-3-09. My much awaited day of bonding is long over. I can't go nowhere in my apartment w/o him hopping, jumping, and flying to catch a free ride or find out what I am doing. Needless to say, I can't go potty w/o Threio calling ...

I originally had Threio's wings clipped, but now they have grown back. Threio is flying all over the place which apeears to be enjoyable and I am thinking about NOT re-clipping. However, two days ago Threio land on the range/stove which has me a bit concerned. Threio still seems to be responsive to ...

I live in a large studio apartment in suburban PA and I can hear Threio outside when I leave. No complaints though for the last 8 months. However, it helps that the other tenants can see me come and go and understand that his calls will stop in about 2 minutes after my departure. They also have seen...

Dowels just don't work. Unfortunately I used them to move Threio from dangerous areas early in the relationship. Nothing positive comes from the dowels in Threio's mind. No fear of my hands, proximity is more of the problem. However, cage maintenance is easy and I can get as close as I like inside t...

Yeah, I just got Threio's wings clipped for the 1st time on the 1st of the month. He/she hates the dowels, will run at me picking them up (sneaky way of getting him to the floor). My luck has been the floor, go ahead and try to get back up to your cage...after a while Threio will come for help. One ...

Threio plays with his cage toys in the morning, however he loves his ropes. Basically like all children they like the cheap stuff.
I think its a 20ft of rope I got from Walmart and tied it in knots, loves to climb it all day.

Threio's cage is actually under this strand of rope.
