Abnormal Regurgitating!
Hi guys, I know she isnt a Ringneck but I am really desperate at this point. :( My cockatiel has been regurgitating daily - clusters of mostly undigested food. I have taken her to the vet twice who gave her a course of antibiotics (no effect) and said as long as she isnt losing weight, dont worry. I...

Re: Need help please
leave the cage door open so she can feel more comfortable about being outside of the cage, and so its her decision to be out of the cage. it will probably take a while, but she will eventually calm down and youll see she will start moving closer to you across the floor/furniture over time.

Dodo is mean, my whole family is terrified of her. she was peeved about my parents being in her apartment and would not stop grumping and yelling and giving us all the evils. my mother's solution was to stand in front of her cage and try some mind control, bobbing her head around in circles saying Y...

its like those bumperstickers that say "dogs have owners; cats have staff"

My IRN used to regurgitate to my toes when they were painted pink and attack them when they were red (i now wear socks!)
My cockatiel tries to brood my toe and finger nails.

Have personally known 2 ringnecks - 1 mine, 1 my sisters. both were bad with other birds. my sisters bird was a bully, very mean to the other birds. mine is a psycho and must be supervised at all times or she will hunt down and try to kill the other birds. think she would prefer to be an only child....

his beak is probably fine. if you are really worried, get a birdvet to check it.
ive only ever seen IRNs with black on their beak, regardless of age. I have even seen IRNS with entirely black beaks - no red at all! Not sure what that was about but they seemed normal and healthy.

maybe he is particularly bored at the moment
or he has only now, after 10 years, realised that the kind of swing you buy him is really good to chew.
maybe get him a swing made from a different kind of wood.
