Hi Selma,
Birds can eat oats either cooked or raw. My birds eat them both ways. My IRN prefers them raw, and my CAG likes them cooked.
I think it just depends on the bird.

Tes, your bird's flight fleathers will grow back. This usually occurs when the bird goes through a molt. They will have to be clipped periodically.

Is there any way to know the sex of a young irn without dna or waiting for them to develop a ring? I'm not sure if the male has different characteristics than a female or vice versa. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
