i have a ? about mushrooms iv never fed them or heard of people feeding them but i was letting babba eat some spagehtti and he came to a mushroom. i was unshure about it so i took it away. i was wondering if they are ok, i no some shrooms are deadly to everything but are the ones we eat ok for birds...

why are you puting them togerther inthe first place? if you need the older ones to foster the chick it depends on the situation of the pair if they are not a bonded breeding pair with their own chicks/eggs they probably wont foster it

u sed that she has been comming out only to eat. thats behavior they use before the eggs hatch as well as after and even before they lay eggs the feather was probubly her own they have to preen wether they are nesting or not and they use feathers in the nest i have seen lots of feathers in my birds ...

back when i first introduced the nestbox i only put a few inches in there and the female tossed most of it out and then i put a little more in and she tossed more of that out too. there is about 2-2 1/2 inches left in there

i new they needed more fat some macaw species need even more than most

but i never new thats why the macaw formula was different and i can use the stuff at the pet store down the street rather than driving to the next city to get different kinds at the bird farm. :)

my irns laid 4 eggs starting late of the night of the 9th of febuary.

i am expecting the first egg to hatch in 3-4 days and i was wondering if it is to late to candle them would it harm them or their development to handle/candle them this late in incubation?
