The Floor...

Post by Mikaela »

I know birds arent suppose to like being on the floor but Baby prefers the floor over any other place. She can get into everything! Just her bag of tricks.

Well, this is my problem, she isnt staying on her condo like a good girl. My plan of attack has been to replace her AS SOON as she gets onto the floor. I have been doing this for two days.

I think she is catching on because the number of times I have to get her from the floor have become fewer.

She has no fear, not even enough to keep herself remotely safe.

What I am doing is working so far, but advice is always welcome.

I'd also like to know if any of ya'lls babys foil the idea birds hate being on the floor :?:

Yep, Mazzie loves the floor. Buddy doesn't really care for it, but he doesn't really mind it either. Alice... well, she's kinda iffy about it. She'll flap off it onto something higher.

Yep, Chook loves the floor. He hoots around all over the place. I love it when he hears Lonnie wake up and he sticks out his wings, puts his head down and runs to his bedroom for a kiss.

Hane and Tsume would love the floor if the dogs weren't pressing their noses to their backs all the time.

The first few times Hane and Tsume went walking they wouldn't step up and lunged. So we just let them wander, but they soon grew tired of the dogs and Socrates trying to herd them, lol. Our floors just aren't that exciting for them either, because of the dog proofing. Plus there's no food there, and Hane especially is ruled by his belly. :)

my fang loves the floor as well, he sounds like chook, it is so funny the way he puts his head down, wings out a bit and goes as fast as he can, you can hear his beak rubbing on the timber floor sometimes it's like he uses it for support.
