Hi everybody!!

Post by markandskylar »

Hey everyone!!I'm Mark from nashville,tn. I recently got a beautiful blue IRN. He/she is 7 months old. This is my first IRN.I brought him/her home and he/she has not been very vocal (not even a sound). Is this normal. He/she is semi-tame,he will sometimes step and other times bite the crap out me ha!!I hope he/she gets better. The breeder i bought it from hand-fed them and then just stuck 6-7 of the same age in a cage. I hope he/she calms down before long, and tends to like me more.
I look forward to talking to you all. This site is great!!!
Thanks,
Mark

G'day Mark, welcome :)

I second what Bec said.
It would be quite scary for Skylar being in new surroundings with new people, sounds etc. Once s/he settles in you will probably wish you could have had the peace and quiet longer....lol, just kidding. :)

Ha ha, Yea man the puppy sounds are cute. Skylar will become adjust over a few weeks to be active. Also the tame process depends on you, of how much time you spend with the bird.

U.S.M.C.-On avg i m around and play with him 5-7 hours on most days. But it is sometimes hard to, physical therapy school takes up a lot of my time. But he is improving day after day, like today he finally let me pet the back of his neck and back. This only happened because he couldn't see his cage. As long as he is around his cage, he is very defensive!!
