Last thursday i got a new 4week old IRN baby.I dont have a name for it yet.Does anyone have any ideas for a nice name? The pin feathers are just starting to come out on the body. They look like hes going to be green.I still have alot to learn about IRN and about weaning them.I use to breed with budgies long ago.

Welcome Jaclynne,

We are glad to have you here and I commend you for doing the research on your new parrot. They make such fantastic little pets and I know you’re going have a lifelong friend. I know you’ll think of a wonderful name once your little baby ringneck starts to develop his/her personality. I let my nephew name my bird and he was into the cartoon The Sword and the Stone at time—he named my bird after the owl—Archimedes  .

There is so much information here on this site as well this forum, please feel free to look around!

Best Wishes,

Imran Chaudhry

Welcome! And I'll just second what Imran said lol.

I like to use name websites, searching within a theme usually. Like mythological names or something like that.
Sometimes I use Wiki. Like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fictional_birds

I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay
