try soaking the pellets in water and then when it gets mushy mix seeds in. Do it with a few more seeds at first and then eventually have more pellets than seed. The idea is that when the birds are picking through the mush to get to the seeds they start getting some pellets whilst getting the seeds out. After a while they start eating the pellets with out even realizing.

try wetting the pellets with a diluted fruit juice instead of water.. like applejuice or something. Just be careful to monitor what he is eating in that soupy mix because seeds get funky and moldy very quickly when moist. so mix it together and what he doesnt eat within a few hours take out of the cage.

try the coarse harrisons pepper pellets. Supposedly, it helps wean them because they like the pepper. I always just keep one bowl in the cage with a mixture of pellet, seed and either a millet spray or maybe a dried chili pepper. He goes to the bowl maybe once a day and he picks out what he wants. Im feeding the zupreem fruit pellets right now and for a while he wouldnt eat the yellow ones (shaped like little bananas!) so at the end of the week all that would be left is seed shells and bananas haha! he choses a different one every week that he 'doesnt want'

Good Luck, they are fiesty little buggers
