Is Akoko just growing up or is there something wrong??

Akoko is 9 mths old now ( dont know if male or female but I just say male ) and this last week has started acting very strange. He is always out with me or near me when I am home and quite affectionate but this last week, runs fast way from me and shakes and is quite jumpy when I pat and cuddle or go near him but if I leave out of sight, will chirp for me. What is going on with him please?? Also, he does not seem to want to talk yet, just makes girbled parrot noises with a wolf whistle! How can I get him to talk soon and to be back to my cuddly baby. Thank you!

P.s. He also does this looks like he is choking thing with my toes, is that a mating thing? Sometimes does it with himself in the mirror or these little coloured toys he plays with.

when you say he shakes, is it a scared shakes or more like ruffles his feathers at you and starts jumping around?
somehow missed the part with your toes, he is trying to feed your feet

and what I think is happening is he is dancing at you when you think he is shaking.
