free flighted bird

ive seen parrots that are free flighted outside is it possiable to train an IRN to be free flighted?

That's what he thinks, but who knows maybe
a Ring neck could understand its owner to the
point it will be free flighted outside.

I'm trying that with my Skye as we speak. He hasn't quite gotten the idea, though when something or someone scares him, he comes straight to me. I want him to be able to fly to me the second i call him even if he isnt' scared. He's only partially clipped.

The best way to effectively flight train a parrot is to start with an unweaned baby and teach it to fly yourself. They seem to take to that kind of thing better than an adult. If you're super lucky, the adult will catch on too and will want in on the fun and treats.
