working the nest box

Post by riantango08 »

i have just noticed that my grey hen has been in the nest box,i havent actually seen her in there just found feathers and the bottom is all rounded down, isnt it to early for this to be happening i havent seen anything else happening with her and her partner
but my other pair, lutino hen and blue male, the male has been doing the love dance(not that the hen has paid any attention).
would they be starting to breed already.

Possibly, they could be doing it
wen no one is around. Make sure
you keep your eye towards the
pair, look for them hanging out
inside the nest box.

That sign should be enough, soon you'll
get eggs maybe..but i should not be too
cocky about it. :)

i have seen my grey female coming in and out of the nest box the last couple of days and her partner the green male is always at her side.
i also caught my other pair doing the deed,so hopefully we'll have some eggs happening soon.they havent entered their box as of yet but are hanging around it all the time. fingers crossed
