Aviary/Flight

Post by Tempest »

Ok I am not sure if anyone has posted this yet but I am moving in a few weeks and I wanna build a Flight for my IRN. Though he does have a large cage I am not a firm beliver in confined caging for animals. Especially for ones as active as birds.

So this is what I got going for me:
9'L x 8'H x 4'W

3'L x 8'H x 4'W is gonna be the safety room.

6'L x 8'H x 4'W is gonna be the flight part of it.

Do you guys think that an aviary/flight would be good or no good due to the fact that I am still training?

Thank You

A great addition to the bottom of a cage are rocks and logs to perch on ..

I don't like the idea of my birds hoping around on bars either .. in the wild the'd be on solid ground... So I place flat rocks and assorted size shaped rocks on the newspaper and bug free (non toxic )logs that are big enough and stable enough to perch on also on the bottom of the cage...
