Albino IRN

Post by orangeboy »

Hi,

I have a pair of male lutino and female albino ringnecks. What are the possible offsprings if they breed? Thanks

Hi orangeboy,

Assuming they are not split to other mutations,
Lutino cock x Albino hen
=100% Lutino/Blue cock and hen babies
** Visual Lutino babies but split to Blue

Hope that helps.

Thanks DPP! Could you help me check if I am right in the below pairing?

Blue cock X Albino female
= 100% Blue/lutino cocks and hens

and also all visual blues?

Many thanks again

You are halfway correct.

Blue cock x Albino hen
=50% Blue/Lutino cocks
=50% Blue hens

And you are right. All visual Blues. :D

** Note that hens can NEVER be split to a sex-linked mutation such as Lutino.

How can I get albino chicks if I have Lutino/Blue cock? What are the possible pairings?

I have just bought a mature grey cock. What pairing to recommend? If paired with an albino female, what are the colours of the offspring? Thanks in advance!
