How Long

Post by DEEDEE »

I know this will be a stupid question but, I have had George and Mildred a few weeks now, not sure of ages or history. Wondering how long before we can clean the cage out, get close without them going Scatty. The Male had my finger the other day. I did not cry. Wow it hurt. As I posted a Piccie the other day of them both sat on the curtain rail, they was out of the cage before I knew they had moved. I tell them when they learn to trust they can live out of the cage as much as they want but they wont listen to me. Advice will be accepted with gratitude. DEEDEE

DeeDee I would clean the cage right away!! As for them not wanting to be handled that takes time and patients. I would seperate them and have them in their own cages this makes it alot easier to hand tame them one at a time. When wanting to work with them take them in an unfamilar room where they can't see each other or the cage. Teach the words step up and treat them with what ever they like best. It sounds like you have got a pair that is bonded to each other and they will stay that way if not seperated. Good luck with them and keep us posted.
