birdie breath mints???

OK.
so amazons breath REALLY REALLY smells.
we think it's from all the broccolli he's been eating.

any ideas how we can make having the little guy close to our face more bareable???

Put a piece of peppermint in your mouth and let him lick on it. I had to do this just lastnight with Baby.

You hold it by your teeth (teeth not showing, scary) and put him to your mouth... he'll smell you have been eating it and lick it himself.

Suck on it for a minute to make it wetish, then as you push it through your lips, dont spit on it.

These babies pick our mouths, teeth, take food from us as we are trying to chew it... a little spit aint gonna kill um.

DONT CARE WHAT NOBODY SAYS. Now, should you spit a bowl full and leave it all day as his drinking water, that would be a problem.

lol.

we still trying to get the bond up, but he's not taking to us as well as Jasper did.

he only seems to go from his cage to his gym to find more food, if we pick him up he just keeps on his mission.

Thats good, especially is ya'll work or are away. Jasper was/is very needy and that would have been problematic soon.

Just keep the bond up. He will come around!

Well i wasn't too keen on the mints with all the sugar and what not.

so we went to the garden center and bought a peppermint plant, and Amazon LOVES IT. and now his breath smells great too.

Lol if he eats fruit and likes cinnamon try sprinkling the cinnamon on the fruit. My ekkie Carmen likes the occasional garlic clove, well to cut that smell I give her papaya and banana with cinnamon on top. Also a cinnamon stick in the cage can help as they will chew on that and cinnamon smells good on birdie beaks.
