"Pitiful Moaning"

Post by PETE's Mommy & Daddy »

Our Pete "moans" once in a while and it sounds very pitiful. (like how we say "awww... :( " when we're disappointed!) I don't think it's boredom because we spend time with him a lot, feed him healthy food, etc...this bird is so spoiled, he has everything...even our unconditional love. This house is full of love and laughter, my husband and I don't yell at each other or even fight at all. I'm concerened as to why he'll moan as if he's depressed or sad. It's been going on for a while now. Does anybody have the same issue???

George will settle in for his afternoon nap and after he tucks his beak under his wing will make this noise. I always think he is letting me know its naptime, he is comfy and would like the house quiet for at least an hour.
