Good or bad idea?

Post by Kayaq »

I was at the mall the other day and of course I had to make my stop at the pet store... I saw the most gorgeous IRN I've ever seen. He was like a lime green colour...... I haven't been able to get this bird off my mind... They had him in a little tiny cage I feel horrible.... But I've had problems with pet store birds before. They can say any bird is hand fed and healthy but you never really know..... Did any of you guys get ur bird at a pet store?

Save that Baby! If you are implored to as I was with my recent adoption.

Im realizing, birds pick us, we dont pick them. Ok by me, thats how it should be. Imagine being owned by someone you didnt even care for?

Er, that would suck.

cinnamons are a lime green color....despite being called "cinnamon"!

PS I am with Mik--get that poor baby out of there if you can afford to and get her to a vet--QUARANTINE the new bird, don't introduce her to your bird(S) until several weeks of observation (just to be sure she isn't incubation a resp. disease or something else contagious)

He was the sweetest IRN that had exsisted! Didn't need training or anything! Go rescue that baby! :D

That's him. Do you guys see a ring or am I crazy? lol I swear it looks a lil darker.... His hatch day is Jan 23/06 Is it possible for his ring to be showing already? Maybe I'm just seeing what I want to see. I put the deposit down already I'm going back friday to pick him up. I'm so excited.

Oh yeah. I made them take him out. He's great. Such a sweetheart. Even good with the kids. Couple more questions now too.... 1. should I test him for all the diseases too? The girl said the vet comes in and checks them but wasn't clear about what they check for lol. 2. How long should I wait to introduce them? 3. Whats the best way to do it?

Hey

If you do bring that adorable baby home...please quarantine! Do not expose your flock at home to this baby for atleast a month (OR until you get him vet checked and everythiing comes out good)
