Too lazy...

Post by Mikaela »

To take pics, let me explain.

Baby is getting black underneath where the ring was lime, now its black. Also, there is about a quarter of an inch of red by where the ear is, where it was once lime.

Is this how a ring starts. I swear, I think even if I saw a full ring I would worry with this. Grrrr.

How do rings come in is what I suppose Im asking. Also, he is molting and lost many tail feathers but are growing them back. Looks spinny aroung his lil head.

Looks uncomfortable, gets two spray bottle baths a day.

Yep Mik you have a boy! This is where the pink ring starts. On Tango it looked orange to me but it's turning pink now. Donna

Yeah.. you could say orange. It has been there through 100 spray bottle baths because Im convincing myself its a food stain.

I get on my own damn nerves sometimes.

Imma take a pic. Now my peaked. Be right back.

get a magnifying glass and check out those feathers, it should help you see if the color is on top as a stain or the color of the whole feather and they are soooo neat to look at magnified and the bird loves to eat the magnifiying glass, a totally mutually satisfying experience for bird and owner.

Kai is beautiful. I really appreciate your sharing those. I'll know where and what to look for now. That is of course I can remember this for 18 months.

Not likely. I'll be asking away then worried there's something wrong.

Wow Angie,
How exciting for you too. Love seeing all these new feathers coming in on these babies. I sure hope to see them on my Remmikins!

You're so lucky. I wish I knew what Cody was. How old is baby? I can't wait that long to find out. lol I'm so impatient :( I couldn't even wait to find out what my kids were and that I only had to wait 6 months.

Kai's beak

Post by Bird crazy »

Angie:

Kai's beak is so beautiful, red and smooth. Nila's seems to have changed some, a little lighter at the top, darker toward the tip. I'll have to go back and look at all the pics in the photo forum to see if that's standard or is it a sign of some problem.

Whew, it's hard to worry about everything :?
