Na na nah boo boo...

Post by Mikaela »

I got my two-cage-complete-tear-down- clean done yesterday. My lord it was hot outside. That was alot of work man. I do it every other month (complete tear-down) but never remembered it being a big deal.

I actually liked doing it because it looks so nice and I get to move everything around. I know that makes my babies happy.

But for all of you with poo pee cages... na na nah boo boo. *sticks her tongue out at everyone*

(My back is broken today. It literally took all day) Im kinda OCD and find myself scubbing marks that are cage and not poo hehe. But yeah man... lotta work.

People ask if I steam clean it too. I live in Florida and its August. Outside *is* steam. Let something bake in 100 degree weather with the Florida sun drying it and one can feel pretty safe its clean. So thick and miserable. Walking outside puts your eyes out without shades.

Border-line too intense.

My son and I, probably from our past environment are little hustlers. If there is a dollar to be made, we are chasing it. As we were working yesterday he said:

Mama, I'll do this and I said I know baby but they are my birds and this is your day off. He took a new job and hates it. Then BOOM we looked at eachother... both knowing we were thinking the exact same thing....

Is there a market of people whom would want to pay someone to come into their home and clean their cages? Alot of elderly here. And if so, what would one charge?

He does a great job at anything he does or he doesnt touch it. This would also mean self-employment while in college which means you set your own hours and can put off work on exam week.

I dont know. It hit us yesterday. Americans are lazy. We would pay someone to wipe our behinds for us if immigrants would do that too. We dont get our hands dirty... thats for the people from other countries.

Pretty sad huh? But its reality. Thats why we let the ones we do over... to do our dirty work. Everyone knows it, I'm just the one that will say it. Oh, and the felons. We sometimes let them work again despite they have paid their debt to society but it will consists of cleaning toilets unless you know someone.

I know of companies that go to people's homes or businesses and set up, clean, check supply stock, and maintain people's freshwater or marine tanks.

Why not do the same for birds? Great idea!

But then again if you're around parrots poo in which the bird has a disease such as psittocosis and that disease has shead into the poo you can breathe in the poo dust and contract it. Your birds can get it from you. Or if it is even on your clothes, you both can get it. This is why I won't work at a petstore that sells parrots. I know The Aviary's birds come from clean breeders and get their vaccines.

Maybe wear masks while cleaning. Just a thought!

I have a poo poo cage and it needs cleaning right now. But it is now too close to midnight and Nila's sleeping so that's a good excuse right. :P

Maybe tomorrow. If I can drag myself away from playing with him long enough.
