Training diet, Womach brothers

Post by Bird crazy »

Has anyone seen or read about the Womach brothers, bird training methods? www.birdtricks.com

They recomend a training diet, not sure if I would want to do this but wondered if anyone else had and if it's ok for a young bird, not fully mature. I give Nila a lot of food and a lot of different kinds all day long. Is that not good. Everything I read says should be 90% pellet diet. But I just put everything out every day and let him eat what he wants.

My two cents:

I send my husband to get bird pellet. He came back with pure garbage. It was full of filler and just pure trash. I wanted to feed my baby so I opened it and of course Baby loved it because it was full of trash... sunflower seeds and peanuts.

Anyway, by the time he got through that bag I began noticing he had black bar marks on him. Its called barring and can be from a poor diet. I had, unknowingly, caused this because I didnt understand the importance of proper nutrition.

It took a few weeks to develop, months to repair. I would consider this before any drastic changes.
