Where can and can't you take your fid?

Post by xo Missi »

I was wondering...for those of you who take your fid with you everywhere. Even the grocery store or to dinner (I would think this would be a "health code violation" but then again I saw a man the other day in Publix with a ball python around his neck)? Do you really take it EVERYWHERE?

Are there places that won't allow your fid?

Depends on where you live...ask Mik this.

I know that here in Cali they wont allow them inside...some will allow on the patio but most people smoke there so...uh no to that idea

So far the only place iv been kicked out of was Starbucks. The commissary on base got mad at me for giving Mack a pepper to eat wile we shopped. Not because he was in there or that he was eating it but because I opened the package before buying it. most places I go don’t tend to mind me bring them with me granted its been my tiel only, but I just started taking George with me and with the two of them I haven’t had problems yet. Restaurants tell me I have to eat outside or get my food to go. I have no problem with that as I usually get food to go and eat at home.

I take Baby everywhere with me. If people start causing a flack, I then 'display' him and then they shut up and it turns into 'that bird is cool as hell!'.

Thats a good enough distraction to usually get management off my back.

And when all else falls, he is my seeing eye bird.

I don’t go out when I know its going to be busy or crowded. I am also careful of the places I go anything with loud noises tends to upset Mack if im at a grocery store I look down every row to before going down it, you never know what people will do. I had one girl scoop him up right off my shoulder saying “what a cute bird” before I could react Mack had her nose piercing in his beak trying to pull the metal ring off of her. He loves shiny things and can be aggressive when playing with them. the girl was fine she fortunately was used to birds, but still wtf I don’t just go pick up other people pets.

I am super careful with George he hates strangers (I have learned this the hard way with friends) he has only gone out to the bank atm, and to the post office when they ere not busy, he seamed to enjoy it. I am trying to get him slowly used to other people. So far, he will let them get within a couple feet of me and then those eyes start to flash. Its so strange to see him so aggressive with people because with me its all sweetheart.

Much like pit bulls... they never get used to 'other people'.

At best, they might tolerate them. Most of us have unhappy birds when visitors arrive, at first. Little buggers.

Ah so its normal irn behavior, that helps a lot with dealing with this issue of his. He has bit a couple of friends who got to close. Now when I have company he stays in his cage. He just seams to get so upset over the whole thing. It like he thinking; people, people what are people doing in my house. This is just typical you let one in and more follow. Did I say any of you could come in here, well did I? Now get out, except the one who brings me food he stays but that’s it!

Dats comes EVERYWHERE with me, grocery shopping, out for lunch, to cafes, the beach... everywhere

But we play hide the birdie, her favourite game when in food places and some shops. I zip her up inside my jacket and tell her its time to be quiet, she will stay there quietly for about 10 mins then get restless. It can be difficult to explain why your 3rd boob is laughing and saying "hello?... whatcha doin?"... and even worse when you are caught answering!

I really have not had any issues with chicken being out with me, even when I get sprung most people think shes so cute they are more interested than anything else. Where possible I tend to sit outside at restaurants and cafes so she can be out and drinking my juice or eating my food, it attracts so much attention and we both love it. I take every opportunity to educate people and make their day.

i dont have a problem with people who bring birds in to the mall.I have a problem with people that have a dog under their chair in the foodcourt or in the mall because there is quite visible no dog signs on every door. I could just imagine dats saying helo from inside chamons shirt, and asking what are you doing 8) 8) 8)

Yall know my 'Baby up the shirt' story... but for a few minutes I had one boob.

When a girl descibes herself as 'athletic' gentlemen... means tight body and no boobs... trust me on this.

Im not going to say: Well I have the body of a teenage boy but a cute face! So I say athletic.
