Lutino Eyes

Post by Pommeraniac »

I am new to the group and new to Ringnecks. I just posted "New Ringneck Addict" on the Introduce yourself post.

I have a question about the eyes of the lutinos. Mine have red eyes, but they look different than all the pictures I find online. Mine seem to be completely red, where all the pictures I find online show a white ring around the eyes.

Are there different kinds of eyes for the lutinos?

Here is a picture of his eyes:

That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all

Thank you!!!

I've only had him for a few days. I have been looking for a bird to adopt and then I found someone that raises the blues, lutinos and grays. I called and she said she had girls for $100 and boys for $150. I couldn't resist the face of this little guy. Now I am a proud parent of a lutino ringneck. I would love to get a blue girl, but would they bond together and then leave me out of the picture? :(

Your bird is still young. The ring around the eyes will come in around 6-12 months old.
