New Ringneck Addict

Post by Pommeraniac »

Hello Everyone!!!

I just got my first Ringneck last night  . I don't think it is an Indian Ringneck though. He is only 4 months old and is a hand fed baby Lutino. He is Fluorescent Yellow with red eyes. The sweetest little thing you could ever come in contact with. I am uploading photos to the web right now so I can post some pictures of my new little arrival. What exactly is the difference of the Ringneck and the Indian Ringneck? Do they all have the same personalities? Enjoy the pictures...

Hey and welcome.

IRN, ringneck and indian ringneck are all used for the species. You CERTAINLY have a lutino indian ringneck and a beautiful one at that.

Please, as a new parront, ask a million questions. Nothing is a stupid question when it comes to the care of our babies!

That is a NICE looking ringneck... look at the coral color of that beak. Great specimen! Good Job on the pick out.

Personalities? No, they are like children... all have different personalities. In fact, my lil man speaks with a VERY heavy southern accent because of me. But, YES they share enough in common to allow us to try the sam techniques on different babies and as far as training... they seem to all be the same.

You'll see. That bird will start out-smarting you... and I have a law degree! They are simply amazing. Want a baby in their terrible twos for a life-time? Buy a ringneck! :D

Hi and welcome!

Yes your new baby is an IRN...ringneck describes the species as a whole...and includes a lot of other types of birds.
