Hi Krishna,
Welcome! I just had a look at your photo of Lucky, he is very beautiful.
I am just wondering... do you mean Lucky is 7 months old or you have had him for 7 months? The parrot in the photo seems to have a full neck ring which would indicate he is over 2 years old
Well since you say you are new to this I would start by ensuring that you feed Lucky a varied diet including lots of fresh fruits and veg (which they love soo much) seeds pellets and fresh water. Ringnecks can eat almost anything but do not give them avocado, rhubarb, chocolate or caffine as these can be very dangerous
My IRN loves multigrain bread or toast and cornflakes. Ringnecks need loads of space to accomodate those fantastic tail feathers and plenty to play with... for example Datsun has bark to chew up, leather straps with beads shells and wood on it and toilet rolls in his cage at the moment.
Most of all IRN's need your company, they are very social and just love to be around you even if its just you standing next to his cage talking to him.
Hope this helps you. Keep us posted!

A good start is that you know Lucky loves apples. You can use this to your advantage. Cut up apple into small pieces and every day feed them to him through the cage while talking to him in a soft voice, as he gets used to you, you may be able to open the cage and he will take it from your hand, you can use apple, pear, nectarine, basically anything but food is the key.
If you keep it up and dont force him to come to you (just bribe) he will eventually associate you with yummy treats and it wont be too long till you can touch him or bring him out of his cage.
Good Luck!

this, is it playing with us ?
We are feeding fresh fruits like apples by our hand at times lucky eats. Most of time lucky takes the apple piece and drops it. I pick the same piece and it does the same. when I put the same apple piece in lucky's food basket lucky eats and before eating it calls us to show it is eating now. I don't understand why lucky does this, is it playing with us ?.
