question
Hi,
Perhaps you need to place the male in a cage next to hers so they can get used to one another. I would wait a good month before you try to introduce them again or wait until the male is completely healed. If she goes after him again, wait longer. The timing may be bad for trying to pair them. Some hens are very aggressive, you were correct to separate them. I would forget about trying to breed them this year. They need time to get used to seeing or hearing each other. Hope this helps!
