is this normal?

my mother in law just got a green irn male, whenever i gonear the bird he likes to grab my hand with his claw and put his beak on me and bring food up (that hes eaten already) and put it on my fingers. is this normal? he doesnt do it to anyone else. :?

It sounds like you are his 'chosen person'.

Ringnecks tend to take to people, sometimes not their primary care-giver for no apparent reason. Maybe he likes the tone of your voice or the way you smell. No telling. Very sensitive animals.

If I wear perfume, mine wont hang out with me. Body spray, she likes. Im not allowed to wear bracelets either.

If a bird ever tries to feed you it is a sign of affection. Even including you is really. Usually, they are all about the food and pay no attention to whats going on but the food!

If the bird gets too attached, it may very well end up being yours lol. They sometimes get to pick their owner because of this.

there was someone on here that has a ringneck that tried to regurgitate into their mouth.id say your pretty lucky that its your finger he is doing it to.i would definately say you are his favourite.how old is he? is he tame?
