I just wanted to wish my sweet little baby Tiki a very Happy Hatchday. He turns 1 year old today!
I gave him his present early two days ago. I bought it and just couldn't wait to give it to him! I am so bad. I have the hardest time holding onto presents for anyone once I buy them. His present was a new eatable toy. It looks like white rawhide that is rolled up like a burrito and has two little holes on the side of it and it is filled with seeds. Hanging from the bottom of it WAS a bell, but it was only held on by a small piece of string and that was immediately removed within 2 minutes of me putting it in his cage. Go figure, you would think the manufacturer would know better than to attach anything for a bird toy with a small piece of cotton string! This is how it is also attached to the cage, but luckily after two days he hasn't messed with the top - I guess it was becuase he found the seeds on the inside. Now that I am saying it, I will probably go home to find the toy on the bottom of the cage, because Tiki bit through the top string! Today, in his bowl, he got an extra scoop of seeds along with myself and my daughter singing Happy Birthday to him. Tonight he is going to get a nice long piece of millet as well several banana chips (which are his favorites)!
