I have a 4 month old light blue lacewing (pallid whatever!) and it has been doing some strange movements over the last couple of weeks.
....I have a video on Youtube but being a new user it wont let me post. Please go to youtube and search for my channel 'snapcrackleandchris' it will be the latest posted video, posted today with the title 'strange indian ringneck'
In lieu of the video I will try to explain...It walks across the highest point on the playpen on top of her cage with its wings sort of out like the 'heart shape' that they make, pins its eyes and in addition to that does this weird head bob thing looking like its trying to regurgitate but not fully committed to it

It only does it on its cage playpen thingy when I stand in front of it talking to it. she will come down to a perch attached to the front of the cage as to get as close as possible to me, and then bolts up the cage and to the top of the playpen to start the dance.
The reason I say 'IT' is because this looks (to me) a little like the male mating dance BUT I had it DNA tested as a FEMALE!!!???!?!?
....and isn't 4 months a little young to be showing these behaviours? maybe she is older? I don't know
don't mind the aggressive bell attack there at the end lol.
Her name is Jewel, named by my partner because she is a compulsive earing thief but if she turns out to be male....it'll be Jimmy or something

I guess if its inconclusive we'll just have to wait a year or so to see if the dark ring emerges or not...
Thanks in advance for your help
Chris....& jewel....or jimmy.....
