Iknow here in england we get alot of rain but i would take the rain anyday over hurricanes, cyclones and earthquakes. I moved my family away from London because of fear of terrorist attack. Im a complete woos who has watched too much t.v. Anyway i hope u are all ok, please let us know u are all ok. Thanks natalie xxx :? :? :?

I have that ol honky tonk friggin back woods hick accent. HATE IT.

Always wanted to have an English accent. Hell, if Madonna can fake one and get by with it (somewhat) then why cant I! -pout-

*practices*

May I interest anyone in a spot of tea. -giggle-

Love accents but the British accent rocks, sounds upper-class even if youre homeless haha.

Most people from other countries dislike american accents, say it sounds blah blah blah, nothing pretty about english.

Mikaela its the London accent u prefer then hun, and yes thats wot me and my family have, we av moved to herfordshire only 30 miles outside London and they think we av an accent here, :? I wouldnt say i was posh tho, little bit ruff round the edges me old mucca, thats me. The phones is the rag and bone , altough us londoners are so lazy we only say 'rag and' tha stairs are the apple and pears, lady cadiver is £5[ fiver, we call it too] so u can av my accent any day i want to talk with a twang in my voice [always wanted to be american when i was a kid] i dont wanna sound like half the cast of an english soap opera, maybe we can give eachother some voice training  I 'll trade u my accent for a week of sitting by your pool in the sunshine. We got another 3 months befor it warms up enough to sit in the garden [with ur coat on] And i wish my whole life away longing for the summer :( so wot do u say...we got a deal, natalie xxx

I too LOVE english accents Mik! Australian accents are way cool too. And so are Irish! We Americans do sound BLAH! Altho' I can't figure out what's so different about the way I say "bird". Angie said she kept listening to how I said "bird" on my video post. I think southern accents on women are sweet. You sound so delicate and cute. Which you are! Tee hee. But I would LOVE to hear how a lot of our members speak! The accents. Natalie, come on over and we could sit in my back yard & chat, no pool and right now it's only 27 VERY COLD degrees and snow's blowing. But I'd love to sit and chat with you! Like I said Jade and I have become the best of friends and we chat every night and it's so fun to learn the Aussie slang! I love it. She'll say something to me sometimes and I have to ask her what the heck she means. Cuz I have NO CLUE. It's so funny! So let's chat Nat! :D Boy have I gone off and just rambled on and on! But I have always wanted to visit England. And just listen to you guys talk. Now it'll be Australia that I visit to see Jade.

Hugs,
Jen (Sorry for my rambling!)

To my knowledge, there isn't a terrible amount of breeders up that way, not really in Innisfail anyway.
I do know one guy lost a breeding pair of Sun Conures an Alexandrine and a 28 Parrot

So everyone is ok then? Good...we don't need anything to happen. Those poor breeders who have to deal with natural disasters...

Yes I agree with Jen, we all worry about our members.

Hi, I am in Melbourne, so quite a long way south of the storms. We hear it on the news all the time and fortunately for me I don't have any family up there either. It is really sad to see the pic in the news, makes me too upset when I see them, especially the little children that are affected.

how awful

Post by natalie »

 U just no how u would fell if ur house was totally destroyed. All ur possesions lost or ruined. And ur right Elaine, the poor children who's lives have been turned upside down. One little sweety, preety little love, was talkin to the camera, but u could see she was bewildered. The coverage isnt all that gr8 here today, we,ve just had the dreaded budget so the news is full of the new taxes. But even befor that we dont get as much coverage as i would like. Thank goodness no one was killed. Natalie xx :)

I have an animal action plan anyway!!! Because we only have the rural fire brigade and we only have tank water, we are pretty much screwed in bushfires!!! But cyclones and bad storms no worries. ALL my animals will be in the house with me - that'll be 2 full grown cows, about 30 or 40 chickens, my geese, the king parrot pair, my 6 IRNs and max the cockatiel - and of course us and the dogs. All I can say is THANK GOD we got rid of all the sheep

Jade i can picture it

Post by natalie »

firstly Jade im now worried even more cos u could be affected by bush fires  . This might seem like a really odd suggestion but i gotta share it with u. Did u know the the filling inside a babys nappy [diaper] does not burn !! wot use is this to me u r thinking!! i dont mean wot a baby fills its nappy with eeww , i mean the gel stuff inside the actual nappy. apparently the fire brigade here in england use it. Once its wet it never drys so it can be used to smother people in or coat areas in so they dont burn. Ok so u would av to buy thousands of them to cover ur house but i just thought i give u that strange peice of info. non toxic too. See now i feel silly for such an odd post but d'ya know what i feel comfortable with u guys .  Nataliexx

Baby speaks with my accent. You can tell it mostly the way she says hey and 'you mamas punkin'. She sounds like a hick.

I have a new battery but I cant find a small enough screw driver to get the damn thing open to replace it. She is now talking when outside of her cage. That is only because she lives to make a liar out of me.

Three days ago I said she wouldnt speak unless in her cage.

Best friends sure can ride on your nerves sometimes. Anyway, soon as I get this battery changed I'll have her give ya'll some country love.

Natalie: I love it!!! Not only would my husband commit me - my neighbours have their private thoughts visually confirmed, if i were to cover my house with nappies!!!!

Not to worry though - we have our own fire fighting pump connected to our dam so if there are fires around, we can fight them ourselves until help arrives - or the dam runs dry!!!

Sorry, i'll be serious - we have a big clearing around our house anyway so hopefully (fingers crossed) our house will be safe (but full of animals because i'll have to evacuate the paddocks).

By the way i have family who live just South of Cairns (North Queensland for you non-aussies) and they said that it was a bad cyclone. Luckily, they didn't get too much damage, just a lot of mess.

I live in Adelaide, South Australia. On the map Look at the middle of australia then go right down till you hit the sea and its somewhere around there.
Stupid obscure place. I deny being South Australian I was born in Queensland!!
I'm only going to be here another year or two and then I get shipped to wherever Jay gets posted.

You'll get shipped to where ever Jay gets posted?? Will you be able to take your fids with you?? I sure hope so. I can't imagine you being able to leave your babies behind. Is he in the military? Thanks for the map by the way! It's very useful for those of us--ME-- who stink at geography! And boy do I!
