Hello from Carl and Dee

Post by CarlandDee »

Hi from Carl and Dee in Sarasota Florida, USA. We read the IRN forum on a regular basis and enjoy it very much. We have 3 adult IRNs and 3 babies (3 wks old). Mama and Papa bird are semi-retired breeders and Charlie is an indoors companion. We also have 2 Peach Front Conures, an Austrailian Shepard - Border Collie mix and a squirrel and 2 cats. The squirrel was saved from the neighbors cat and the cats from the local shelter. And that's our zoo! Hope to talk to some of you soon.

Welcome to the forum! Look forward to pictures of your zoo once you've got the number of posts required before you can post pics.

Hi, Carl and Dee. I'm Jen and I live on the Space Coast. I am just joining this forum myself today. I wanted to say that I had an Australian Shepherd Border Collie mix and he was the sweetest Pet I ever owned : )

Hi Jen, Yes, our dog is also very sweet and extremely intelligent! I work at home and she is my constant companion.
I wanted to clarify how we got our squirrel. (Carl is a man of few words) My neighbor came and got me when her cats brought in a tiny baby squirrel. Eyes weren't even open yet. They hadn't hurt it, but mama squirrel was nowhere around and she didn't know what to do with it. I took the baby and bottle fed her. She's now 3 years old and fat and spoiled. :)
