Some of our birds do it so gradually we don't really notice until the wings need clipped
.
Buddy and Mazzie are not those kind of birds though. Mazzie actually scared the CRAP out of my husband. I was in TX and he called me up freaking out because she had a TON of feathers under her cage. He had looked her over for injury thinking somehow they had been pulled... until I told him she was molting. I clean the cages normally so he didnt know LOL. She never looked any different but she would drop enough feathers every day to make a whole other bird

Well my zazu hasn’t yet fully moulted yet iv had him about a year now and he hasn’t cropped any more feathers for about 23 months now and clipped him when I got him and he’s moulted everything else except his flight feathers which were clipped. I thought it might be a calcium deficiency so I boosted his calcium intake by giving him plenty of broccoli, cuttle fish, calcium drops and as much sunshine as I could but I guess he refuses to shed them bleeding feathers.

Mine, a yr old in May has only had a 'mini-moult'.
Just her head really. God she was a sight for sore eyes.
Me, being the curiousity that always kills the cat, didnt know what those pins where so I pulled one. Yeah, I know... STUPID! My lil baby's head bleed.
I was a new parront. Didnt know any better.
