Hi

Post by Meeko's Mom »

Hello! I am the proud owner of Meeko. He is around 7 years old. I bought him to get him out of a bad situation. His first owner never worked with him and sold him to a friend of mine. This friend rescues dogs and has LOTS of dogs at her home. Meeko was scared of these dogs. I have had him over a year now. He is not tame, and though I have been afraid of him biting me, I want to start working with him so we can build trust with one another. He is beautiful and though he does "squawk" frequently, the majority of the time he sings. He is not afraid of our 3 small dogs. I am able to put my hand into his cage to give him veggies or peanuts and he just moves away from me. I am looking forward to discovering more information from this awesome site!

Welcome to the board, be patient is the best advice especially for an older IRN. It may take you along time but don't give up, don't fall down, and if you do we will pick you back up cause that’s why were here, to help.
