Hello from a newbie.

Post by IRNLover »

Hello everyone,

I am new to forum, which may I add is wonderful, I think it might be my new nesting place as I've enjoyed browsing these pages. Unfortunatly though, losing my lil girl is what has bought me here. She was an inside bird, hand tamed, whistling and talking alot and she escaped out an open door, she was myn and my sons bird and we are both very, very upset about this lose. She was only 18 months old and we only have had her for 12 months. :( It's been 4 days since she flew away and no sign of her :(

We moved her cage outside and left it open with some fresh food in it, in hope of her returing to it for security, but to no avail.

We were already in the process of looking around at getting her a friend, which has now been hightened as we are both so lonely without her and thoroughly enjoyed the company of the IRN bird.

Anyway thanks for reading. I look forward to getting to know you all a bit more.

Hi

Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear about your girl. Have you posted information on ParrotAlert? Also, where about's are you? There is a really small chance that someone on this forum might be from your area and find your bird.

Hi there thanks for responding.

After one very long week we have had a break through this morning.
We come from a very small rural town and when I posted on FaceBook about her missing a girl called me to tell me that there was a notice at our local supermarket saying that someone had found a very friendly non native parrot and left a number so I called it and sure enough it's her, so we are picking her up tonight as the lady that has her is at work at the moment, we cannot wait, we are very shocked at actually getting her back and very overjoyed and thankful to the wonderful people of our town. We just cant believe it!!! This lady posted on a parrot forum looking for the owner also but unfortunatly I only know about this website and didnt even know about parrotalert, in the end it didn't matter.

Thanks again for yoiur interest.
