What should we expect when we bring home a new IRN?
Mine is un-tame although is slowly getting used to us and being pat by us.. but will they be loud or quiet? Will they eat a lot or not at all ?
There is a lot of questions bout little guys and even tho I've had him for half a week I still have no idea if im doing right or wrong by him

Re: What to expect
Some birds don't eat much when they first come home but should gradually be eating more once settled in. Some start eating right away, which is what mine did. Pellets are an ideal healthy diet but also quite boring, my birds won't touch them. A lot of birds do okay on a seed diet if provided nutrients from fresh fruits and vegetables as well. In the diet and housing section there are some great food tips and recipes for your bird as well as a list of toxic foods which should never be fed. Check it out
Taming will take time, some birds come around faster than others, it depends on the individual bird's personality. I have had mine for 6 months and he loves to be held and talked to and played with, but is still uncomfortable with being petted which I respect. It takes time.
As far as noise level, this depends on the individual bird and your perception of noise. To some people, the sound of an IRN is very loud and intolerable but to others (like myself) it is okay. I have sun conures so I definitely know loud, and my IRN isn't nearly as loud as my sunnies.
Good luck!
