As a family, we need a place to post about any and everything that may be bothering us or a place to share great news or other personal things.

I want everyone to feel comfortable doing this so I always keep this open in case someone wants to post but feels uncomfortable.

Anything goes here, just be nice (I know I dont have to say that but newbies need to know we dont tolerate any meanies, AT ALL).

If a subject comes up that offends you, simply scroll past. If you have something to add to a poster, by all means.

I love you all.

Well.... we are off to the beach tomorrow, IMO the most beautiful beach in NZ so Mikaela I will post pics when we get back coz if you think my other photos are beautiful you aint seen nuthin yet!!!!

Unfortunately we are not taking Dats coz we are going with a group of friends and both James and I want to swim so no one will be there to watch her.... next time she can come.

I have had a cold for 3 weeks and was on some heavy antibiotics which gave me a fun case of thrush!!! ... so ... just starting to feel human again. I still have the original cold/flu/virus nasty but I can walk and talk again now which is much better than a couple of weeks ago.

I got a new bird, a little mutant budgie, he is lop sided when he walks and I felt sorry for him. He is in quarantine for now but will live with Chevy when he comes out. I have named him "Morris" as in, Morris Minor (in keeping with my car theme).

Off to bed for me, love you guys... whats up with you?

Aww congrats on the new addition little mutant morris and I am glad you are on the mend, have a great holiday :D

I have been so busy with a houseful of visitors. We live down by the ocean, right out onto the Bass straight, South Gippsland Victoria and we have some wonderful glorious beaches here (will have to post some pics of our area too). Not far from Phillip Island and on the other side of us Wilsons Promentary. So summer - everyone!!! - I mean EVERYONE! comes for holidays.

We have had a full week of high 30's , which is almost 100 deg for the Americans and everything is hot, nights are not cooling things down much only get to a low of 27 (80 deg for the Americans), which is unusual because we normally get a sea breeze in by 5pm or so, but not this week, so everything is hot day and night, even the pavements and brickworks are warm all day and all night. And tomorrow we are in for a 43 which is approximately 109 deg for the Americans  help! Note: our heat has not one ounce of humidity, its very dry indeed.

Lots of beach, swimming and ice cold water to keep cool, but not tomorrow .. thats way too hot to be out in the sun in Australia, on a normal sunny day you have to slip slop slap AND sit inside a sun tent to keep from burning, so tomorrow would be certain death I reckon.

No cooking inside tomorrow either we will be out on the back verandah cooking on the gas BBQ. Definately no fires though, total fireban will be inforce.

And next week looks just as hot.

Monday 27 deg , Tuesday 28 and wednesday 33

for the Americans thats :-

Monday 80 deg, Tuesday 82.4 and wednesday 91 deg

As I said our heat is dry. not one ounce of humidity. The washing dries as you hang it out. By the time you have finished the line, you just go back and start taking them off again.

And no we do not use Aircon unless we really need it. Waste of energy and time because we have a very busy house .. doors are constantly going so aircon would be pointless. We just acclimatize and enjoy the summer :D (might give in tomorrow and run it just in the one loungeroom though  ).

The IRN and budgie really enjoy baths right now

Well off to lay ontop of the bed with my fan and try to get some sleep.

Cheers !
