Love Birds

Post by Bryan »

Hey, they have a special deal at a pet shop in my area selling a cage for $90 and get a free budgie, lovebird or canary. A few weeks ago I had my budges out side in their cages when a baby budgie flew in. Now I have 5 budgies 2 in one cage and now three in the other. It is very much squished with three as they say two is company three is a crowd. So I want to get a love bird and keep it with my new budgie. Do love birds have to be with at least one other love bird? Or can I put it with a budgie? The reason I am asking is because I think LOVE birds have to have a partner to LOVE? Sorry to bore you out

Lovebirds DO NOT need a friend, and if you put one in with a Budgie it will very likely kill it. Lovebirds are tough little guys, very territorial, and only do well in MATED pairs, not just any ol pair.

Bad bad idea. We have 2 love birds here, and 2 cages for them... just to keep everyone safe.
