I Just Got My IRN Today

Hello,
I just brought home my new IRN today. He is 6 months old, and just a sweetie pie!
His name is Sherbert. I found him at my local pet store, and just fell in love instantly. He is so beautiful, and has a lot of personality.
The pet store owner was concerned about taming him because he started out handfed and then the breeder quit with him. I was a tad concerned, but was too in love to leave him.
Anyway, we brought him home, and when I reached into the box to put him into his cage, he jumped right onto my hand. Each time I reach for him, he just jumps right onto my hand, and climbs up my arm to my shoulder. He isn't much on petting him yet, but I am sure we will get to that, I mean this is only the first day with him. He also says "Hello" already. He just learned and had only been doing it for about a day or so.
I have had cockatiels in the past, so I have experience with birds, but I am so intrigued by Sherbert. My husband bought him for me for Christmas because he made me get rid of my last 'tiel because she had some serious behavior issues. She had a prior family where she had no boundaries. It was tough.
Anyway, I am so happy to have this site to come to if I need questions answered, or someone to talk to about my beautiful, little bird. Thank you for taking the time to offer this.
