Hi how are you, dont worry to much every one stuffs up.
You will most likely need to gain its trust back again.
Maybe start with talking quietly and carmly from a metre or two away and only give its favourite foods and toys (basicly suck up) there not stupid, when you feed it walk towards the cage slowly whilst talking quitley to show that u arnet a big monster, ringnecks screem every morning and every afternoon you will just have to get used to it if your are to keep a ringneck, If it is breeding season where your they do go on a bit more then the usual morning afternoon. If its not hand tame maybe you need to get it a mate.
Good luck

you may try some soft music .... i have a cd of music that was for people to relax to. Its called Birds of nature. I play it for my birds. You should see their heads move around curious to where are these birds. I am guessing they are thinking what are they saying ... I am not sure but my male cockatiel will talk back to it and all of them will act very curious. I put it in the surround sound speakers and its so funny to watch their heads turn side ways !!!
I know in general music sooths ...... people and animals.
I think its worth a try.
Don't give up. Most of us have done the same thing. Some of us even to our own children. They get over it. It was just that the birds was not bonded to you yet. Once they are bonded with you they don't hold grudges unless they are several abused.
My male cockatiel is very protective when eggs are present or babies. He has bitten me a few times. That is the only time I don't scold him because he is just protecting his babies. If he ever nips me when there are no eggs I put my hand over his entire body and lower him down .... no squishing and not pressing on him. I just dominate him and let him know I am the boss. He has never held that against me. In fact when I am doing this he is making a "kiss" sound like okay I know I did wrong.
Good Luck,
Calli
