Forsythia bushes

i was wondering if its safe to let our birds munch on forsythia? they are in bloom right now but i can't find a definitive answer anywhere.

Hi Joanie,
I know someone who claims to have given her budgies Forsythia flowers. She said they lived well over 10 years. But thats just one person, I know.

A bird page (in another language), I looked up listed it as poisonous to birds. Another guy says its poisonous to hamsters So I guess I would go with mildly poisonous and the intoxication depends on the amount consumed.

thank you, i thought the flowers were ok but i wasn't sure about the rest of the plant.
i guess i won't chance it.
