Now on to the piccies!
This was a gentleman playing a barrel organ which was over a hundred years old. He played throughout the day, sitting on the attatched perch is Chaquita, a 5 year old Harlequin Macaw.

This is the stunning female Eclectus sitting next to us the whole day, she was such a poser, I couldnt resist a photo shoot!

This is Tango a B&G Macaw who has a beak deformity, it grows too long and twists so she has to have expensive surgery every year to correct it. She is such a sweet girl.

This is James and I talking to some people about Ringnecks and Lovebirds, so many people were interested to know how we had tamed them and taught Dats to talk. Simple answer, we didnt teach her to talk she just wanted to communicate with us and, well, they are tame because we handle them.... LOTS!

This is James' little sister Lisa about to enter an egg and spoon race, only one catch... you have to be holding a bird! Datsun hung on for dear life!

Chaquita and Tango with their Mums.

Close up of Chaquita, isnt she beautiful!?!

This is Oscar, he is 3 months old and is a Ringneck crossed with a Moustache. He was really confident, just ran up to me and chewed on my toes! He is quite a spunky wee guy!

Datsun and Oscar made friends quite early in the day, they were so cute together. They played on the ground for a while, playing chasey mostly

Then lastly another one of the stunning miss Chaquita, star of the show and a real darling. I was in love!!!

So that was this years picnic. Its loads of fun, great people, beautiful birds and a sausage sizzle! Life couldnt get better
