COLOURATION QUESTION! White, Albino or Palladino?

Hi there!

I have a hand tamed IRN, named India, that I've had for 4 months now. She is an amazing, well-behaved and highly intelligent bird, and I absolutely adore her!

She's been DNA'd a female, and she's around 6 months old now.

My question is, what exactly do I call her coloration?! She is completely white, but has very light blue eyes, and a very, very slight blue tinge to her feathers. I've attached a picture of her, so hopefully the site will let me upload the pic. But if it doesn't I'd love to email a pic of her to people that could help me figure this one out! I'm super curious!

It sounds like you're describing an Albino, possibly masking violet, however it can also be Pallidino, to see if it is pallidino look at her head if it is pure white as a pallid would have (no blue tinge) then it can be pallidino.
You can always ask the breeder her parentage, it's easier to figure out her genetical makeup then a picture.

She's definitely completely white, and her head is pure white. All over, she is the colour of white paper. You can only see the blue tinge when the sun hits her feathers. Also her beak and feet are pale pink.

Her parents are blue (father) and white (mother).

What do you think?

It is an Albino : her father has to be blue/ino

why the blue tinge is seen in some Albino birds is still not certain, more investigation needs to done, work in progress.

Take a pic with flash, if it still not showing red eyes then it can be something else.
Do you know if the mother has red eyes?

She definitely has a redness to her eyes when used with flash. Her mother's eyes are exactly the same, that pale blue. Your money's definitely on her being an albino?

Yes i think it's an albino, a bit surprised at the mother having same eyes, sometimes an albino's eyes inside the house may look dark or blue etc but when taken in full sun the red eyes can be noticed.

it has a white head. no red eyes (not albino) .washed blue white body...(not pallid)..since the pallid ino mutation emerged and no females were bred,it was theorised that this was a sex linked phenomena peculiar to cocks alone. I have seen more that one hen that fits the pallid ino description. next think you know she breeds similar colored cocks ... perhaps we can call them pallid???

Mo, two things:

1) It was mentioned earlier that it is a hen.
2) There is a mutation in other species, sitting between pallid and ino, called platinum. It boils down to a platinum hen looks very much like a pallidino male.

PS: I think it's an albino.
