Wanted to say Hi, and I hope to learn to help our new additions, they were kind of thrown around from place to place for the first 5 years of their lives and we were asked if we wanted to take them, being bird lovers of course we said YES..... Now I do hope to learn quite a bit and may have quite a few questions in the near future, as I have tamed down conures, tiels, and a few other species but this is my first time working with Ringnecks. Hoping to get them calm fairly fast. first thing we had to do was have the band removed from the female because her leg was swollen from it being smashed too tight and everyone wondered why she was mean lol, not sure how everyone in the past missed that but its off her now and she is on the mend. and her attitude has changed tremendously since it was removed. cant wait to talk with some of you to help me work with these beautiful babies. the male babbles a little but neither really talk. is it going to be too late to teach them with them being 5? I dunno but i'm gonna try my best with them.
