Good morning, me again, you'd think I have nothing better to do than post on here...lol I just have a lot of questions I'd love answers to.....now we have three new IRNs, all a few weeks apart in age eldest being about 14 weeks old, he is a yellow one and no matter who I put him with he tends to pick a fight not horrible just enough to make some noise and is very passive over the food bowls and takes over the other ones favorite spot to perch, is this normal behavior for an IRN?? He had my youngest so bullied he wouldn't even move off the highest perch all day so I took yellow boy out and put him back with the boy he came with, we had two shipped from Texas, so those two are back together, I'm guessing I'm gonna have to get three cages??? Will I ever be able to put them all together?? We have two for sure males not sure what the little greenie is yet!!! It's been a week now since we got them and still can't handle them, the green one yes a little but not the other two!! I'm exhausted,,,lol but oh my goodness what sweet quiet little birds these are...except the brat!!!! Lol

Re: Fighting bird
Hello Ann!
Sounds like you got your hands full there!
I have three ringnecks as well and they all have their own cages. When my sister in law was living w/ me we did house the boys (Archimedes & Anaken) together without fighting. It's the girls you have to watch out for. I have two females and 1 male. The females would kill each other if I placed them inside the same cage--the males are totally different. I think you are right on the money about keeping them inside their own cage ;o) Where all the birds DNA sexed?

Two of them were tested and are males, they came from same. Reeder, the other we are clueless, she came from someone here locally, currently we have the males together for tine being, little greenie is alone, and youngest and can be handled!!!! Today is the day we will get the other two out and try to handle!! Hopefully I will have fingers left to type to you about how that all played out tomorrow!!!
