baby birds not eating help please
the birds about 7 weeks hes refusing handfeedings every single time now and hes not eating pellets its been 2 days and not eaten a morsle. what do i do?

Hi,
Now, i may be too late, but chicks will refuse food if it is not warm enough.
Also you maybe have to manually open its beak and slide food down throat.

Have you tried feeding them with a syringe ? also check the type of feeds , foods, etc
this forum is rich in experiences , spend some time and you will find all the answers
just be patient and dont scare them . they will start trusting you .. and btw when they move their heads up and down - it means they are hungry. you can hand feed chick peas' by forching open the beak ,after soaking them in water for 4-5 hrs , they just love it

At 7 weeks shouldn't they be eating more solids and less formula? Our Rikku is a month old now and is already playing with millet and seeds and has actually eaten a few here and there while manipulating them. Maybe it's just time to offer more variety of solids.
