Post by Riaan25 »

Hi,

I need some information. Is the needed to close the cage with a blanket at night so that my IRN (Cleartail) can sleep?

thanks in advance :)

I guess this is personal preference. I cover my birds at night to protect them from any drafts and keep them warmer. It also seems to be comforting for my birds.

I cover mine if they seem chilly, or if I have a light on in that room past their normal "bed time" (they usually decide to sleep around the time it gets dark outside).

Sometimes I may forget or just choose not to cover them. Either way, they don't seem to mind. Try it out with yours, and see how it goes. :)

Mine sleep from sundown to sun up so I cover their cage at night mostly to shield out lights emanating from the house so that they can sleep. In winter I completely cover their cage for warmth but in summer I lightly cover the cage to block out light.

I leave light switch on, because I don't want my birds to feel alone :)
