hi, i am wondering why the beak of my lutino female is not dark red? its almost orange.
and it is not shape too much like the male.
first i thank that she is not adult but i searched in the internet and looked for pictures and i found that this isn't the reason
My Janey had an orange beak for what seemed like the longest time but it eventually turned red. How old is your bird?
I was secretly hoping it wouldn't turn red because I liked the orange beak... but it happened so gradually I never really noticed it turning red & now I couldn't imagine her any other way!
I dont know! I want to know if any body can tell me!?
She is very kind and gentle with the male she doesnt hit him and he let het touch his feather
So does this says that she is ready to breed or what? Because my other pair the female almost all the time she hit the male but this pair isnt.
The colour of the beak is normal for a lutino. It is not possible to visually determine if this is a young bird,at least not by pictures. An avian vet would need to scope her to determine condition, sex and if she is an adult.
