So, I have been a frequent poster on this forum and had asked many questions regarding my IRN... We were hoping that Yoshi would be a male.. But we DNA sexed Yoshi and our new Lutino IRN this past week and have just found out that both of them are female..
I can't lie, I'm a little disappointed... But I know that my Yoshi is still my sweet cuddle bug and I love her nonetheless. But it's funny to have to switch from saying "he" for 2 years to "she."
I was just wanting to have some encouragement from other female ringneck owners. I had a female growing up that was absolutely mean. And she bonded to me but would bite randomly and screams constantly and any time I held her all she would want me to do is pet her neck while she tilted it back and clucked... As much as I loved her, I hated that that was ALL she would do. So yeah, could any one give me some encouragement or advice?
The reason I wanted a male so bad was because I had a male ringneck growing up too, his name was Baby and he was the sweetest thing. He would dance and talk and was always giving kisses.
Yoshi gives kisses can say a few things and I ignore her when she tilts her head back to cluck because I don't want to encourage that behavior... So yeah, encouragement please??
It's official... Yoshi is a FEMALE...

My Janey does all sorts of tricks on command: turnaround, basketball, go to bed, retrieve, twirling under the perch and she talks.
Hope that helps.
