paring suggestions for a female pallid/blue?

Post by Lucas »

What can i putt against this female?

I have seen a male blue split for pallid and ino BUTT!!!! i cant give that in on gencalc!!!

the breeder says that the parents of the male are:

1.0 ino /blue
x 0.1 blue pallid
% from all 1.0
50.0% 1.0 blue pallidIno
50.0% 1.0 pallidIno /blue
% from all 0.1
50.0% 0.1 blue ino
50.0% 0.1 ino /blue

so NO blue/ ino and pallid between the youngsters......

Thanks guys and dolls!!

What colour is the male you're looking at? Is he visibly blue or blue pallidino?

If the male had both the ino and pallid genes he would be blue pallidino. He can't be split for both. If his father was blue/ino instead of blue ino (albino), then you get:

1.0 blue /ino
x 0.1 blue pallid
% from all 1.0
50.0% 1.0 blue pallidIno
50.0% 1.0 blue /pallid
% from all 0.1
50.0% 0.1 blue ino
50.0% 0.1 blue

So the blue/pallid would be your boy. If you then put him to a blue pallid hen:

1.0 blue /pallid
x 0.1 blue pallid
% from all 1.0
50.0% 1.0 blue pallid
50.0% 1.0 blue /pallid
% from all 0.1
50.0% 0.1 blue
50.0% 0.1 blue pallid

Have a look at dog_glenn's reply to my "pairing suggestions?" thread from a couple of days ago. I like his second suggestion but I think I'll have to start saving for it!

a friend-breeder says that in gencalc i have to give the bleu/pallid and ino (what never can be!) give in as blue ino split pallid, because maybe the breader of this male see the youngsters as bleu but the are bluepallidino, a lighter color of blue and easy to be mistaken for blue/pallid and ino

so i get with my female pallid/blue....

1.0 blue pallidIno
x 0.1 pallid /blue
% from all 1.0
25.0% 1.0 blue pallidIno
25.0% 1.0 pallidIno /blue
25.0% 1.0 blue pallid
25.0% 1.0 pallid /blue
% from all 0.1
25.0% 0.1 blue ino
25.0% 0.1 ino /blue
25.0% 0.1 blue pallid
25.0% 0.1 pallid /blue

i see on pictures that a pallid (in this cas split blue) for newbee's can be mistaken by a pallidino iff you not look very good on the headcolor??
Bleupallid and a bluecinnamon also?
